General: Welcome to Korean-American Intellectual Property Organization Web and Member Portal network, home of KAIPOUSPTO.ORG. As part of our online service, the Korean-American Intellectual Property Organization a.k.a. (KAIPO) agrees to provide you with information and other computer related services subject to the terms of this agreement. Upon notice published through this agreement, the Korean-American Intellectual Property Organization has the exclusive right to amend or modify these terms at any time. You agree to use Korean-American Intellectual Property Organization Web and Member Portal network in accordance with this agreement.
Disclaimer of Endorsement: Reference herein to any specific commercial products, process, or service by trade name, trademark, manufacturer, or otherwise, does not necessarily constitute or imply its endorsement, recommendation, or favoring by the Korean-American Intellectual Property Organization. If you are dissatisfied with any KAIPO material, KAIPOUSPTO.ORG, computer related services or with any of Korean-American Intellectual Property Organization’s terms and conditions in this agreement, your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue using the Korean-American Intellectual Property Organization web network.
Korean-American Intellectual Property Organization may allow you to purchase different types of products and services online that are provided by other parties. Korean-American Intellectual Property Organization is not responsible for the quality, accuracy, and timeliness, reliability or any other aspect of these products and services. You release the Korean-American Intellectual Property Organization its members (Regular, Associate, or Friends) from any damages that you incur, and agree not to assert any claims against them, arising from your use of these products or services.
Posts, Forums, Groups, E-Mail Messages, and Chat Rooms: This service may include posts, forums, groups, e-mail messages, and/or chat rooms (“bulletin boards”) which allow feedback to KAIPO and its members and/or real-time interaction between users. KAIPO does not control the messages, information or files delivered to bulletin boards or e-mail messages. It is a condition of your use of the bulletin boards, discussion groups, e-mail messages, chat rooms and KAIPOUSPTO.ORG that you do not:
Restrict or inhibit any other user from using and enjoying the bulletin boards, forms, discussions groups, e-mail messages, or chat rooms.
Post or transmit any unlawful, threatening, abusive, libelous, defamatory, obscene, vulgar, pornographic, profane or indecent information of any kind, including without limitation any transmissions constituting or encouraging that would constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any local, state, national or international law.
Post or transmit any information, software or other material which violates or infringes upon the rights of others, including material which is an invasion of privacy or publicity rights or which is protected by copyright, trademark or other proprietary right, or derivative works with respect thereto, without first obtaining permission from the owner or right holder.
Post or transmit any information, software or other material, which contains a virus or other harmful component.
Post, transmit or in any way exploit any information, software or other material for commercial purposes, or which contains advertising.
You understand that the Korean-American Intellectual Property Organization nor any of its members (Regular, Associate, or Friends) has no obligation to monitor the bulletin boards, forms, discussions groups, e-mail messages, or chat rooms. However, the Korean-American Intellectual Property Organization , reserves the right at all times, to disclose any information as necessary to satisfy any law, regulation or governmental request, or to refuse to post or to remove any information or materials, in whole or in part, which are objectionable or in violation of these terms and conditions.
System Abuse:
System abuse on the Korean-American Intellectual Property Organization Web network is strictly prohibited. The Korean-American Intellectual Property Organization may terminate or modify service immediately and may bill for any resulting support charges if the user and/or client engages in system abuse.
Following is a list of actions, which has been defined as system abuse. This list is non-exclusive; any action about which there is any doubt should be referred to the Korean-American Intellectual Property Organization for evaluation.
Actions, which constitute system abuse include, but are not limited to:
Attempting to circumvent user authentication or security of any user, host, or account on the Korean-American Intellectual Property Organization Web network or the Internet at large (“cracking”);
Attempting, in any way, to interfere with or deny service to any user, host, or account on the Korean-American Intellectual Property Organization network; forging email posting header information;
Sending large numbers of unsolicited mail messages (i.e. “junk mail”); this includes adding or attempting to add addresses to any mailing list without explicit positive consent of the addressee on the Korean-American Intellectual Property Organization Web network.
Forwarding or posting “chain letters” (multiple forwarding) of any type;
Posting inappropriate messages to the Korean-American Intellectual Property Organization Web network newsgroups e.g., posting large numbers of unsolicited posts indiscriminately (“spamming”), or posting encoded binary files to the Korean-American Intellectual Property Organization Web network newsgroups not specifically named for that purpose;
Attempting to cancel, supersede, or otherwise interfere with email other than one’s own on the Korean-American Intellectual Property Organization Web network;
Engaging in harassment, whether through language, frequency, or size of messages;
Using an account at another provider to promote the Korean-American Intellectual Property Organization Web site in an abusive manner;
Using an KAIPOUSPTO.ORG account or any account on the Korean-American Intellectual Property Organization Web network connection to collect replies to messages sent from another provider which violate these rules or those of that provider;
Reselling Korean-American Intellectual Property Organization services to third parties who do not abide by these guidelines.
Electronic Mail Policy:
It is not the policy of the Korean-American Intellectual Property Organization to send unsolicited commercial electronic mail to anyone and all Electronic messages being sent from the Korean-American Intellectual Property Organization server are in compliance with the Korean-American Intellectual Property Organization national policies concerning Electronic messages and in compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 – Public Law No: 108-187. However, if anyone receives any Electronic messages from the Korean-American Intellectual Property Organization , they can be removed at no cost to them, by sending a reply to the originating electronic mail address with the word ‘remove’ in the subject line.

Portions of KAIPO meetings, programs, and events (“Events”) may be photographed, videotaped or otherwise recorded, transcribed, posted and transmitted by the Korean-American Intellectual Property Organization, its agents, fellow attendees or members of the media. I understand and agree that by registering and attending, or otherwise participating in any Events, I grant to KAIPO the right to record my image, photograph, picture, likeness, and voice by any technology or means. I also grant KAIPO the right to copy, use, perform, display and distribute such recordings of me for any legitimate purpose. I hereby waive any right to inspect, approve, or be compensated for use of any materials incorporating such images obtained during the Events. I release KAIPO and its agents, representatives and licensees from all liabilities arising out of any use of my likeness and information as provided above. I understand and agree that any and all negatives, digital images, and recordings of my likeness, regardless of form, are and shall remain property of KAIPO.
